****STAR QUALITY ALERT****
I've long been a fan of Honor Roll Crew's resident male vocalist 1-OAK (one of a kind) since hearing him sing the hook for a Bay Area rapper waaaaay back in the day. Later, when I heard his remake of LoveCats, originally done by The Cure (an INGENIOUS move that showed his diversity), I was SOLD.
He now offers us his newest single called "Rewind." What do I think? It's fun.
It definitely DOES rewind, reminiscent of the 80s with a modern take (produced by Honor Roll head honcho Trackademicks) and has the feel of what Ryan Leslie might do with a better set of pipes. Take a listen below, and keep a lookout for this young man. I'm a fan. He's a beast. Nuff said.
